Product Description
Pyracantha Orange Glow, also known as the Firethorn Orange Glow, is an upright, evergreen shrub that produces dark green foliage from its spiny branches. From June, delicate clusters of small, white flowers flourish, encouraging butterflies and bees to their nectar. These are followed during the autumn months by a profusion of distinctive, red-orange berries, that are guaranteed to add a blaze of vivid colour to the garden when other plants are beginning to recede. The red berries also provide great sustenance for birds during the bleaker months. The bushy, prickly nature of Firethorn means that it works well as a thorny, low maintenance hedge which will look dense and vigorous all year round. We recommend planting 45cm apart. 9cm pot grown plants supplied.

Growing at a glance…
Provide support until the shrub is established/self clinging. Pyracantha prefer a good quality soil, that is well drained. Plant in a sunny location, but provide some protection from strong winds until the shrub is well established.
