Product Description
Allium Giganteum is a very large variety that bears umbels of distinct violet flowers. When flower is fully open it can measure up to 15cm in diameter. The beautiful curled green leaves will wither before the flowers appear in early summer so we recommend accompanying them with low-growing plants to provide filling foliage over the base areas and covering up those stems. Height 120cm. Flowers June-July. 18cm+ bulbs supplied.

Growing at a glance…
Plant in fertile, well-drained soil at approx 10cm apart and at a depth of roughly 3-4 times the size of the bulb. Larger bulbs should be spaced 20cm apart. Leave untouched for a number of years until the bulbs have multiplied and divide if necessary. Smaller alliums can be grown in containers, but ensure it's large enough to space the bulbs an appropriate distance apart.
