Product Description

A popular and graceful variety, Dicentra spectabilis 'Alba' produces snowy white heart-shaped bell flowers. The pretty flowers begin to bloom from April to June and contrast well against the dense fern-like foliage. A great addition to the spring garden, they reach a height of 60cm and can be planted in patio containers or alongside contrasting colours of perennials. These elegant looking flowers, also known as 'Bleeding Hearts' hold an Award of Garden Merit and can be used as part of a cut-flower display to be appreciated indoors. Growing at a glance…

Slugs may cause some damage to dicentra plants if you dont take some precautions (such as slug pellets). Plant in any fertile and well drained garden soil and position them in full sun or partial shade. To plant loose roots, soak them in a bucket of water for 1-3 hours before planting, then dig a hole in the border that’s big enough to house the root system. Firm in gently and water well.
