Also called Spring Starflower uniflorum, this is a lovely mixture of sweet-scented Ipheion uniflorum varieties in shades of white, silvery blue and violet, all feature a deep purple vein in the centre of each petal. The shiny green grass-like foliage has an onion scent when crushed. A very hardy bulb, creating a mixture of beautiful 20-25cm tall flowers in March, through to May. Top size bulbs supplied.

These small spring-flowering blooms are perfect for use as ground cover in beds and containers. They prefer sunny conditions, especially when in bloom. If your garden struggles for sunlight, plant them in containers and move them around the garden to wherever the sun hits. Grow in moist, well-drained soil, about 8-10cm deep. Allow to die back before pruning in late spring.
