Product Description
Athyrium nip. Ursula Red is an exciting and dramatic fern variety that is an exceptional addition to the garden. With arching triangular leaves marked deep purple at the base and along the stem accompanied by striking silver white tipped pinnules, these deciduous Japanese perennials are sure to add character and interest within the summer garden. Low growing, they reach a mature size of 50cm so are the perfect addition for borders or patio pots. They are also easy to grow and low maintenance where they will prosper in even the most shaded areas of the garden making this an idyllic perennial.
It's important to note that they will change colour over time, but start off their life cycle in a green shade. In their second year, the leaves become bicoloured and feature shades of black, purple, pink and even white. 9cm pot plants are supplied.
