Product Description

Commonly known as Barberry, Berberis Helmond Pillar is a deciduous dwarf shrub with an unusual upright habit, growing to a maximum height of 1.5m which makes it ideal for smaller gardens or even patios if planted in a container. Its spiny stems bear purple-red, obovate leaves, which become brighter in the Autumn. Deep red berries are produced in early autumn which attract birds. The prickles provide excellent cover for birds and other small wildlife. It is low maintenance, and useful for creating vertical, structurual interest in a well-drained, sunny or partly shaded border. 9cm pot grown plants supplied.
