Buddleia Empire Blue is a must-have shrub for the garden, producing lance shaped leaves and strong arching branches bearing cool violet-blue flowers which rise up to 2-2.5m tall from July to October. A must have for wildlife lovers, this Buddleia has a lovely honey fragrance will attract a mass of butterflies and useful bees into your garden hence their commonly known name, the Butterfly Bush. A large deciduous shrub that will withstand hard pruning to any size required to suite your garden. 9cm pot grown plants supplied.

Buddleia are well know for the hardiness that they provide, making them a perfect choice for long-term borders/rockeries. They can be pruned hard after flowering, and you should cut shoots back to strong buds/younger growth. Do not let plants dryout in the summer, particularly in hot weather.Buddleia can be planted in almost all types of soil, provided it is relatively fertile and that there is plenty of good drainage available. They prefer full sun or partial shade.
