A popular graceful evergreen shrub with neat dark green foliage that not only looks good, but the leaves are invaluable for culinary purposes and can be used fresh or dried. In spring it boasts dense clusters of small pale yellow flowers, the following fruit is black and glossy when ripe. Laurus nobilis has the Royal Horticultural Society’s Award of Garden Merit for its reliable performance, stability of colour and form, and good resistance to pests and diseases. These half standard varieties look particularly good in containers where they will thrive in a sheltered spot regularly watered. Approximate height 50-60cm. Supplied in 2 litre pots.
