Our Maple Hedging is a fast-growing plant that makes a terrific dense, compact hedge. Acer campestre is a deciduous medium sized tree with lush, mid-green foliage throughout the summer that becomes a beautiful buttery yellow in autumn. In spring the leaves are flushed with red and small green flowers are followed by winged maple fruits. A good hardy plant that will withstand cooler temperatures and exposed conditions. Has gained the Royal Horticultural Society's Award of Garden Merit which is only granted to plants that have proven reliable performance, stability of colour and form, and show good resistance to pests and diseases, so their quality is guaranteed. Cut back in winter when fully dormant. Can grow to 2-3 metres but with pruning can be kept at a managable height of 1.5metres. 60-90cm bare rooted plants supplied.
