Where two varieties are required and there is space only for one tree. It is quite pleasing also to see two varied varieties on the same bush. Brigarreau Napoleon and Van. Grafted onto Prunus avium rootstock.

| Dual fruit trees are suitable for planting in most types of moderately fertile, well drained soil, although they do not like acid soil. If possible prepare the ground some time in advance of planting. Open out holes and plant with enough space to ac commodate the roots without cramping them. Plant in a sunny location (but well sheltered) as they do not prosper too well in the shade. Make sure that you plant with a stake, as this will be needed for at least five years to help support the tree . Begin weed control prior to planting and keep a clean ring around the plant (with a radius of approx 24inches). |

| Young trees must be watered thoroughly and sprinkle with fertilizer each spring. They must be pruned regularly. In winter training pruning should be done before four years old, and maintenance training should be done thereafter. They should be pl anted in well sheltered locations. |

In late ‘08 I purchased a dual cherry, dual pear and a dual plum. The trees arrived bare root, packaged securely and they’re a very good size, I am extremely happy with them. I have just ordered a plum, pear, and an apple for a friend as she very impressed with mine.
