Asparagus Gijnlim (F620)
Early and very high yielding variety with medium sized excellent quality and flavoured spears. A favourite with commercial growers. A male hybrid variety that will guarantee each crown produces the highest yield and are disease resistant.

| Before planting ensure that the roots are not allowed to fry out. Plant in a well drained sunny position. Plant in a trench approx 5-6inches deep. The crown should be covered by 2inches of fine soil. As the plants grow, the trench should be filtered gradually and should be level by the Autumn. |
| Cultural Instructions | |||||||||||
| The first spears will appear soon after planting. These shoots must be left to develop during the first year. The following year cutting can begin. As soon as the spears reach approx 4-5 inches they should be cut. Cut the spear from 3 inches below the ground. Never let the spears grow too tall before cutting. By mid-June cutting should stop and all remaining spears should be allowed to fully develop to fortify next years crop. |
