Product Description
Acanthus Spinosus is a handsome herbaceous perennial, also known as 'Armed Bear's Breech'. Large, dark green glossy leaves up to 90cm long appear in early spring. From July through to September, a flourish of pale white flowers bloom from vivid purple bracts that contrast beautifully against the foliage. Easy to grow, it is a great plant for novice and experienced gardeners alike. Reaching a mature height of 1.5m, they will add character and a touch of elegance to garden borders; or for those with smaller gardens, these fabulous plants can be potted in containers. For optimum results, we recommend planting in John Innes No.2 Compost in sunny or partially shaded areas of the garden. First grade loose roots supplied.
