Tulip praestans 'Van Tubergens'
OUT OF STOCK
Two to three orange-scarlet blooms per stem. Van Tubergens is ideal for rockeries and pots, as well as at the front of a border. As great naturalisers, you will see these tulips multiplying year after year, making them excellent value for money. Ideal for anyone who is looking to bring a burst of spring colour to their pots or borders. Don't forget that tulips like to be planted late in October and November with the colder weather (it helps wipe out disease, too.) Plant bulbs pointy side up , 12cm deep and water well. 8-9cm bulbs supplied. Flowers April to May. Height 25cm.

Soil Type
Well drained garden soil |
Plant bulbs in well dug soil about 8-10cm deep and approx 10-15cm apart. It is often beneficial to use a little bonemeal or super phosphate mixed in with the soil. Tulips delight during their growth in a sunny location.
After the tulips have bloomed and when leaves fade and turn brown the bulbs can be lifted, dried, cleaned and stored in a cool place until planting time. Tulips should not be grown in the same soil for several years, so replace with fresh soil every other year.
