Dramatic spikes of scarlet which open from the base into violet purple. This is a late flowering variety of Primula that is sensational when planted en masse. It flowers in May/July making is a useful plant for filling the gap between spring and summer bedding colour. Holds the RHS Award of Garden Merit. Height 50cm. Maxi plugs supplied.

On arrival, give them a little water (if required) and light and they will be ready to plant within 48 hours. If soil, light and temperatures are poor (cool autumn) best results will be achieved by potting on for two to three weeks. This will also help to produce a bigger plant with greater flowering potential.
A spectacular Primula with tall poker like spikes of scarlet which open from the base into violet purple. Unlike most Primulas the flowers are up to 2 ft (60cm) tall and come a little later than other Primulas, flowering from May to July. Useful in filling the gap between spring and summer bedding. Plant en masse for a sensational display.
