Product Description
It is not difficult to see why the Chasmanthe is nicknamed the Cobra Lily. Each delicate tubular flowerhead resembles the head of a snake, with dark stamens emerging from them like snake tongues. The Chasmanthe Saturnus is a unique plant originating from South Africa. A relative of the Crocosmia, it produces orange-red flowers in vertical rows on either side of the dark stem. Sword-like bright green foliage surrounds, creating a striking contrast. Chasmanthe prefer full sun and sandy soil. If you do not have sandy soil, be sure to surround the corms with extra sand and grit for best results. Top sized Bulbs supplied. Flowers July to October. Height 1.25m.
