A spectacular perennial with luxurious and almost black foliage that compliments the vibrant red flowers nicely. The scarlet blooms on this Cardinal Flower bring a welcome splash of late summer colour,when many flowers have already faded. It is excellent when used en masse in borders or patio pots and containers. It is attractive to butterflies and received a Royal Horticultural Society Award of Garden Merit (1993). Height 90cm, spread 30cm.Flowers August-October. UK grown 3cm diameter jumbo plug plants supplied.

Growing at a glance…
Water regularly and make sure soil does not become too dry. Plant straight away upon arrival into pots or containers. After 2-3 weeks they can be transplanted into their final position.
