Excellent flowers that will bloom in shade. Known as the Clown or Wishbone flower for the way the tip of the buds look before they open. Pollinators will break the 'wishbone' and the brightly coloured petals will burst forth. Location is everything with Torenia so make sure you plant where it will catch the early morning sun but get plenty of shade in the afternoons in rich, moist but well drained soil. Each pack of six is two each of Torenia Purple Moon, Torenia Yellow Moon and Torenia Rose Moon. Order a pack of 18 for six of each variety. UK grown 3cm jumbo plug plants supplied.

Planting

Plant in a hole deep enough to accommodate the plug

Soil Type

Well drained fertile soil.

Pruning

Deadhead regularly to encourage future growth.

Plant in fertile, well drained soil in full sun or partial shade. Perfect in borders. If potting up into containers, use a balanced compost (that is not too peaty) as it is inclined to produce a hard crust if allowed to dry. We recommend a John Innes Compost No 2.
Water freely during the growing season and make sure to dead-head regularly to prolong flowering.
