Acer palmatum 'Orange Dream' (3 litre pot)
OUT OF STOCK
Acer palmatum 'Orange Dream' (Japanese Maple) produces ever-changing foliage which brings interest throughout the year. In spring, dainty red flowers sit amongst lime-yellow foliage which is a fiery coral red. In summer, these red shades fade away, leaving behind a vivid bright green. Winner of the RHS Award of Garden Merit 2012. Eventual height 3m in 10 years. 25-30cm plants supplied in 11cm/3 litre pots.

Plant in fertile, well drained and moist soil. Acer shrubs prefer sunny or partial shaded areas, and can also be grown in pots. If growing in pots, make sure that the pot is large enough to support the shrub and that it also has plenty of drainage holes. Use John Innes compost if planting in pots. Acers should be watered on a regular basis, which will be even more important in hot Summers. Although its not necessary, you can prune back or cut dead wood in Spring.
