Alpines are a collection of plants that originate from mountainous or rocky regions. They have a compact habit, making them excellent for ground cover, and can be planted in borders, rockeries, raised beds and patio containers. The ten superb hardy varieties in this Alpine Perennial collection prefer free draining soil that mimics the conditions of their origin and will produce abundant flowers during late spring and summer. The collection of 30 includes 3 each of Saponaria ocymoides, Armeria maritima Splendens, Aster alpinus Winter Wonder, Aubretia Cascade Blue, Sedum Kamtschaticum, Aster alpinus Blue Wonder, Dianthus Deltoides Confetti Red, Pulsatilla Rubra, Prunella grandiflora Rubra and Edelweiss. Supplied as UK-grown 5cm module plants. Please note: Dianthus deltoides Confetti Red has replaced Evening Primrose in this collection.

Growing at a glance…
Water and feed regularly during the growing season and avoid the soil from drying out by keeping a close eye on watering. Deadhead as required to promote further growth spurts. Plant on arrival in freshly prepared soil in their final location in the flower bed or in the border. This collections is ideal for mass planting for a large, Alpine effect.
