Our eye-catching Aster Alpinus 'Dark Beauty' offers brilliant violet-blue flowers with a striking yellow centre. Reaching a height of 15cm, these beautiful flowers look amazing when planted at the front of garden borders or are great for adding vibrant colour to the patio in pots or containers. Flowers July to October. Supplied as UK-grown 5cm module plants.

Growing at a glance…
Plant from March-May for summer varieties, and from September for autumn flowering varieties. Position somewhere semi-shaded, like under a tree or shrub. Dig a generous hole to house the root, adding some grit to the bottom of the hole to aid drainage. Add the module to the hole and fill the edges with soil, firming it down so it's nice and snug. Water well once planted, ensuring their soil stays moist - especially through prolonged drought. Leave to set seed once they've finished flowering or cut them right back if you don't want them to do this.
