Astilbe Vision in Purple is a wonderful perennial plant that produces rich purple plumes. The plumes sit atop the green foliage, making it a perfect border or container plant. Try using as a cut flower for something a little more unusual for indoor displays, it will re-bloom if cut back. A very easy to grow and managable plant that will attract butterflies into the garden. You can remove seed heads, or left on the plant for added winter interest. 1st grade loose rooted plants are supplied.

Growing at a glance…
Astilbes are often chosen for borders due to their gorgeous colour and short stature. If clumps become too large for the space, you can divide and replant in fresh soil in Autumn. Plant in well dug, prepared soil, and add a little manure or organic matter if possible. Astilbes thrive in damp locations, particularly at the edge of a pond, but are also great for containers or borders. Soak roots in a bucket of water for 2-3 hours before planting. Dig a hole in the border that’s big enough to house the root system. Firm in gently and water well.
