Ceanothus repens is a fantastic award-winning shrub, often called the creeping blue blossom. This is a must have dwarf California Lilac variety. Beautiful in its simplicity, its rich glossy green leaves nestle amongst sky blue flowers comprising of densely compact panicles that burst into bloom like tiny fireworks in spring and early summer. This evergreen variety grows to a compact height of just 1m but its vigorous spreading habit makes it a perfect border or feature plant. It also looks beautiful planted against a wall, where it will grow much taller. A holder of the RHS Award of Garden Merit, this hardy Ceanothus will attract butterflies and bees into the garden. 15-20cm plants supplied in 9cm pots.

When selecting a place to plant you should take some precaution to ensure there will be some protection from strong winds, as they may limit growth potential. Can be pruned back lightly after flowering each year, and water regularly.Ceanothus are suitable for growing in most types of soil, provided it is well drained and relatively fertile. Should be planted in areas with plenty of access to sun.
