A beautiful deciduous winter flowering shrub with attractive autumnal colouring. Throughout autumn the leaves are a rich reddish purple. Dense clusters of dainty yellow flowers open in late winter followed by non-poisonous cherry like red berries, hence its common name, the Cornelian cherry. A highly recommended bushy shrub that can reach a mature height and spread of up to 2-3m. This shrub flowers on the previous or current year's growth so only very light pruning required. 40cm bare rooted plant supplied.

The cornus (dogwood) is an amazing and unique addition to any garden display, as it will produce wonderfully colourful shoots in winter. Will thrive in full sun or partial shade, and require little pruning, though you can prune back in mid-spring to help keep a comfortable shape. Make sure they get plenty of water in the dry season.
