Product Description

Glowing with soft peach-orange tones that melt into creamy tips, ‘Peaches and Cream’ presents formal‑decorative blooms with a gentle, sun‑kissed gradient. Each flower opens reflexed and broad, creating lush, abundant heads that catch the eye across the border.

 

Rising to around a metre tall, Dahlia ‘Peaches and Cream’ thrives in full sun and fertile, well-drained soil. Regular watering and light feeding encourage consistent growth and a long flowering season, with blooms appearing from July through to October.

 

The warm, romantic palette works beautifully alongside deep purples like Salvia or Heuchera, and soft greens such as Astilbe or Japanese anemone. Its strong stems make it reliable for cutting, and in colder climates, lifting the tubers after frost ensures this tender perennial returns with the same vibrant display the following year.

Growing at a glance…

Dahlia tubers can be planted outdoors, 10cm deep in fertile well-drained soil in spring when the frost has disappeared. They prefer to be in a sunny location and spaced at approximately 45cm apart. In areas where there is extreme cold, dig up dahlias and store in potting compost over the winter. Apply a high potash fertiliser every few weeks in the summer to help growth. Dead head when necessary.
