Product Description

Morning Sunrise' is a delightful variety of Delphinium that produces elegant spires of cream-white flowers with lime green centres, flowering from July to August and growing to a mature height of 80-100cm. The stems are sturdy, requiring no assistance and are a great addition for those looking to create a cottage-themed garden where they can be planted within border or patio containers for those with less space. This impressive variety originates from Glasgow so can withstand harsher and colder environments, nevertheless we recommend planting in sunny or partially shaded areas in fertile, well-drained soil where they will thrive. These pretty flowers will also make idyllic bouquets when cut to be enjoyed in the home. First grade loose roots supplied.

Growing at a glance…

Do not allow the ground to dry out in the summer and water regularly during the flowering period to help prolong their blooms. Delphiniums are able to tolerate most types of garden soil. Plant in prepared (well-drained) soil, in full sun or partial shade. Soak roots in a bucket of water for 1-2 hours before planting. Dig a hole in the border that’s big enough to house the root system. Plant in groups for a fuller display, usually in groups of 3, somewhere that gets plenty of sunlight. Ensure the crown is just below the soil unless the plant has some leaves, in which case leave them exposed with the rest of the root system under the soil. Water well once planted.
