With the added bonus of seeing two varieties on the same bush, here you have a fantastic pairing of Golden Delicious and Sunset. The brilliant green of Golden Delicious should be allowed to mature till it takes on a golden tone and where you will find its rich sweet flavours reaching their maximum potential. Great for eating fresh from the tree, or for cooking. Sunset is a delicious red apple with a golden orange-yellow hue and slight russet touch. Crisp and sweet and very easy to grow. Grafted onto dwarf rootstock, 100cm stem. Bare root plants supplied.

Young trees must be watered thoroughly and sprinkle with fertilizer each spring. You can also mulch in April with rotted manure or compost around the base of the trunk. They should be planted in well sheltered locations.Apple trees are suitable for planting in most types of moderately fertile, well drained soil, although they do not like acid soil. If possible prepare the ground some time in advance of planting. Open out holes and plant with enough space toaccommodate the roots without cramping them. Plant in a sunny location as they do not prosper too well in the shade. Make sure that you plant with a stake, as this will be needed for at least five years to help support the tree. Begin weed controlprior to planting and keep a clean ring around the plant (with a radius of approx 24inches).
