The perfect solution when two varieties are required and there is space only for one tree. With the added bonus of the pleasing effect of seeing two varieties on the same bush, here you have a fantastic pairing of Conference and Louise Bonne De Jersey. The popular long green juicy fruits of the British Conference pear are a perfect match to the lovely fed flushed French De Jersey, with its melting buttery flesh and sweet aromatic red wine aromas. Both varieties hold the RHS Award of Garden Merit so the quality is guaranteed. Grafted onto Pear Pyrus communis stock, 100cm stem, bare root plants supplied.

Dual fruit trees are suitable for planting in most types of moderately fertile, well drained soil, although they do not like acid soil. If possible prepare the ground some time in advance of planting. Open out holes and plant with enough space to accommodate the roots without cramping them. Plant in a sunny location (but well sheltered) as they do not prosper too well in the shade. Make sure that you plant with a stake, as this will be needed for at least five years to help support the tree . Begin weed control prior to planting and keep a clean ring around the plant (with a radius of approx 24inches). Also perfect for containers.
