Product Description

A bright and bold mixture of early flowering Gladioli nanus. Star-like flowers open from upright spikes, surrounded by tall tapering green foliage. Some varieties in the mixture could have a distinctive cerise mask on the petals, which radiates style and elegance. Their soft structure makes them well suited to herbaceous borders. All varieties in the mix are as delightful as each other, and by purchasing a great value mixed pack, you get the added excitement of not knowing what to expect come April. With their strong upright stems, Gladioli nanus makes a wonderful cut flower, allowing you to add a flash of style and originality to your bouquets. Blend with similar coloured Dahlias to create a colourful patch. 7-8cm corms supplied. Flowers April to June. Height 60cm.
We guarantee our great value mixture packs contain a comprehensive blend of variety and colours. By definition the components of the mixtures are not labelled/named on arrival.

Growing at a glance…

"Plant gladioli about 10-15cm deep and about 10-15cm apart, in fertile/well drained soil in autumn or spring. When planting in a heavy soil, place some sand underneath each corm to help with drainage. You can water regularly as the growth begins to appear and you can dead head when flowers begin to die off, though make sure to leave foliage to grow throughout the summer. In late autumn when frosty and cold nights are likely to return, you should lift and dry the corms and store over the winter in a frost free shed/garage until ready to plant again next year."
