Product Description

Art's Pride' is a wonderful Echinacea variety that produces fascinating hardy flowers. The petals are a lovely and cheerful mix of orange and apricot with a deep chocolate brown central ball that beautifully contrasts the bright petals. Easy to maintain, these delightful flowers bloom from June to August providing a sweet fragrance, so we recommend planting in areas of the garden where they can be enjoyed such as garden borders or patio containers that will also attract butterflies. Often called coneflowers these free-flowering perennials will reach a height and spread of 60cm and will make brilliant cut flower displays so ensure enough are planted to enjoy both in and outdoors. First grade loose roots supplied.

Soil Type Well drained, fertile soil

Growing at a glance…

Plant in spring/summer, once soil has warmed. Cut back when blooms begin to fade, as this will help encourage future growth. Protect from excessive winter wet. Ideal for containers and front of border displays. Soak roots in a bucket of water for 1-2 hours before planting. Dig a hole in the border that’s big enough to house the root system. Plant in groups for a fuller display, usually in groups of 3, somewhere that gets plenty of sunlight.
