Gladioli Cream Perfection is a large flowered cream gladiolus with light salmon markings in the throat. It is a classic flower, which goes with almost anything and is an exhibition favourite. Its huge velvety blooms stand tall on sturdy stems, with spring green sword-shaped foliage fanning from the base. Gladioli Cream Perfection not only provides a classy and elegant addition to the border - its tall stems and showy petals make it the perfect centrepiece as a cut flower. Well-drained soil and a sunny location are ideal for growing Gladioli. At Parkers we recommend planting Gladioli in groups at monthly intervals, starting early spring, to extend the flowering season for a showcase that lasts all summer long. Plant in clumps rather than lines for a natural look. Top quality 12/14cm corms supplied. Flowers June to September. Height 1m.

Soil Type

Well drained, light, sandy soil

Plant gladioli corms about 10-15cm deep and about 10-15cm apart, in fertile/well drained soil in spring. Planting can be done in succession from early March onwards to the end of May at fortnightly intervals. This ensures a continuity of flowers throughout the summer months. When planting in a heavy soil, place some sand underneath each corm to help with drainage.
You can water regularly as the growth begins to appear and you can dead head when flowers begin to die off, though make sure to leave foliage to grow throughout the summer. In late autumn when frosty and cold nights are likely to return, you should lift and dry the corms and store over the winter in a frost free shed/garage until ready to plant again next year.
