Product Description

Hebe Silver Dollar is a low-growing, compact, evergreen shrub boasting gorgeous variegated foliage which is grey-green with cream margins. In winter, these cream margins transform to magenta pink, which is particularly noticeable on new buds which look as though they are bursting with colour. This pink tint lasts all the way to early spring, bringing a splash of colour to the garden or patio when there is very little. In summer, sprinklings of delicate mauve flowers appear, which fade to white. This constantly transforming shrub grows to about 60cm (24in) over four years, making it extremely manageable and low maintenance. 10.5cm pot grown plants supplied.

Growing at a glance…

There is little pruning required for hebe shrubs, but if required you can trim back lightly in early Spring. They are fully hardy and an excellent choice for all areas such as rockeries, borders or pots. It is always a good idea to plant themamongst other shrubs as this will help give them extra protection from strong winds, as well as creating some fantastic colour displays.Plant in fairly fertile soil in areas with sun or partial shade. Ensure that there is plenty of drainage available and that you take some care to protect them from strong winds.
