Hydrangea Black Steel Collection
Hydrangea Macrophylla
OUT OF STOCK
The recently introduced Hydrangea 'Black Steel' series is named for its lustrous, almost metallic near-black stems. Traditional much-loved flower clusters are made up of pale lime green buds which open out to classic cup-shaped flowers, in three complementing colours which contrast beautifully with the dark stems and glossy, serrated mid-green foliage. Hydrangeas enjoy moist soil and part shade and dont require pruning, although can be pruned after flowering to encourage repeat blooms. Includes one each of Zaza (purple-blue), Zebra (white) and Zambia (pink). Height 1m. Flowers June to September. 2 litre pot plants supplied.

Hydrangeas can be grown in fertile, well drained soil and often prefer a shady location. It is also worth thinking about how much exposure the area you wish to plant them in will have towards strong winds, as they can often limit new growth in Spring.
Make sure that the hydrangea receives lots of water when the summer comes. Hydrangeas are very low maintenance and will need little pruning, but can be done in spring as new shoots appear. The old shoots should be left in the winter and not removed until spring. Apply a mulch annually to portect from winter colds.
