From the Hydrangea 'Magical' series, 'Amethsyt' is a truly outstanding mophead Hydrangea that will produce an ever-changing show all summer. The flower clusters open lime green, then develop pink shades that will slowly engulf the petals, becoming a darker reddish pink. Finally, the pink shades will fade away and the green colour will return. This low maintenance and robust variety will make an excellent impact plant in containers and the border where it will be the jewel of your summer display. Flowers June to September. Height 1m. Supplied in a 2-litre pot.

Hydrangeas can be grown in fertile, well drained soil and often prefer a shady location.
Make sure that the hydrangea receives lots of water when the summer comes. Hydrangeas are very low maintenance and will need little pruning, but can be done in spring as new shoots appear. The old shoots should be left in the winter and not removed until spring. Apply a mulch annually to protect from winter colds.
