An unusual and unique variety, 'Fortunate Son' produces maroon-brown ruffled flowers with a golden centre and vivid purple stamen. The intense flower colour stands out against the grey-green foliage making it an intriguing addition to the summer garden. Reaching a mature height of between 65-70cm, these hardy clump-forming perennials look fabulous when planted at the front of the garden border or within a container for gardeners with restricted space, where they will flower from May to June.
