Product Description
Our Pansy Matrix Mix Coastal Sunrise offers a soft, sun-washed palette of peach, coral, yellow and lilac - a calming blend that adds warmth and light to autumn and winter displays. These delicate yet resilient blooms are ideal for brightening borders, containers and pots when little else is in flower.
As part of the Matrix series, this mix is bred for uniformity, strength and reliable performance through cold, wet and windy conditions. Plants grow to a height of 15-20 cm and spread up to 25 cm, forming a compact, branching habit that holds blooms upright throughout the season.
We find this mix particularly effective when planted in bold swathes or paired with an evergreen structure, where its soft tones can really shine against darker backdrops. Pansies in this mix thrive in fertile, well-drained soil and prefer full sun or partial shade. Regular deadheading will help to prolong flowering and keep displays looking their best into early spring.
We guarantee our great value mixture packs contain a comprehensive blend of variety and colours. By definition, the components of the mixtures are not labelled/named on arrival.

Growing at a glance…
Our plants are available in two main formats to suit different gardening needs and planting times: Maxi plug plants and garden-ready plug plants.
Maxi plugs are young, UK-grown plants that will need care and attention. Supplied in trays of 33 or 66, they measure approximately 6-9 cm in height with a 2.2 cm plug width. When potted up and grown for a few weeks, they are capable and frost-hardy enough for winter conditions.
For a more immediate planting solution, our garden-ready alternatives come in trays of 20 or 30 larger plugs, each up to 15 cm tall with a plug width of around 5 cm. These robust plants can be planted straight into beds, borders or containers upon arrival and are well suited for both spring and autumn planting - though they should be avoided during periods of severe frost.
Regardless of type, all plants arrive nursery-fresh in protective packaging and benefit from regular watering after planting to help roots establish. For best results, plant in a weed-free location with adequate sunlight and continue to deadhead or prune as needed to encourage healthy, prolonged growth.
