Patio Tomer Ranunculus Mix
OUT OF STOCK
Create an impressive seasonal show in pots or borders with the simple but sweet Ranunculus. Intricately formed double blooms sit atop upright stems. Planted in June, Ranunculus can flower in late summer, providing your garden with a much-needed colour boost at a time when most plants are looking past their best. Originating from the Mediterranean, they are one of the hardiest bulbous perennials growing in the late spring and early summer. We recommend planting more than you need, as you won't be able to resist bringing Ranunculus into the house - their ability to last 2 weeks in a vase makes them a firm favourite with florists. Combine with Peonies, Roses, Sweetpea and Delphinium for a gorgeous display. Top size 6-7cm corms supplied. Flowers May to July. Height 40cm.

Planting
Plant 5cm deep and 10cm apart. |
Soil Type
Well drained, fertile soil |
They will thrive in any relatively fertile garden soil. It is important that you soak for a day prior to planting. They will swell to 6 or 8 times their dried bulk. Plant 5cm deep and 10cm apart, pressing the tubers firmly into the soil with the claws downwards. The tubers can be easily preserved in a dry state and may be planted at any time. A sunny position suits them best, as long as it is not exposed to strong, cold winds.
They should be protected against extreme frosts and can also be grown in a cold greenhouse or frame.
