Create a delightful display within your summer garden with Pulmonaria Blue Ensign. Clusters of beautiful violet-blue flowers begin to bloom in March through to May attracting bees into the garden however, the flowers are only one feature of this hardy perennial. Below the flowers on this Lungwort is a dense carpet of semi-evergreen foliage. Ideal for brightening up borders or potting containers they reach a mature height of 40cm and can be cut to be used as part of a cut flower display for within the home. The Royal Horticultural Society has given it the Award of Garden Merit due to its striking colour and amazing resistance to pests and disease. Unlike other Pulmonaria varieties, Blue Ensign doesn’t have mottled leaves. Instead, they are a dark green shade. First grade loose root plants supplied.
