Product Description

The well-deserving winner of Novelty Rose of the Year 2010, Rose Super Trouper is a vibrantly coloured floribunda rose which is sure to create a head-turning display in the summer garden. Flowering continually from June to September, each stem of thi superb variety will produce dark, glossy foliage and large, extravagant blooms in abundant clusters which maintain their intense apricot shade regardless of the weather. Rose Super Trouper also makes a striking addition to a summer bouquet, so we recommend that, instead of dead heading, the budding stems are simply cut back and the flowers enjoyed in a vase indoors. We supply only top quality two year old rose bushes, bare rooted and wrapped to prevent roots drying out which are pruned back and ready to be planted on arrival. Super Trouper grows to a maximum mature height of 1m and has a neat and compact habit making it the perfect addition to the bed or border, or as a potted plant for the patio.

Soil Type Fertile, humus rich and well drained soil

Growing at a glance…

Roses should be planted firmly, to ensure that wind will not disrupt the roots. Apply a balanced fertiliser every 3-4 weeks in the spring/summer, and apply a mulch in the winter for protection. Can be pruned back to remove any dead wood or growth. It is best to plant roses in winter or early spring, provided there is little frost. To prepare your bare rose roots, soak them in a bucket of water for an hour to 24 hours (longer in spring). Then, dig a hole large enough to house the roots when fully outspread. Distribute the roots evenly around the hole and put in a little bit of fine soil to which has been added a small amount of bonemeal. Fill in with the rest of the soil over the roots and tread in firmly. The depth of planting roses will vary between 10-20cm, or as deep as they were in their pots.
