A brilliant red version of the popular polyantha Rose The Fairy. The blooms provide double petals with a wide-open form that shows off its many layers of petals. The stunning Rose Red blooms create a beautiful contrast against the glossy, dark green foliage. The Fairy Rose are undemanding and flower perpetually for a long time, producing clusters of blooms well into the Autumn. This attractive variety is ideal for adding to summer flower arrangements and makes a wonderful addition to sunny borders and rose gardens as they are highly fragrant. Flowers July to September. Reaches a mature height of 40cm. Bare rooted plants supplied.

It is best to plant roses in winter or early spring, provided there is little frost. To plant, dig a hole large enough to take the roots when fully outspread. Distribute the roots evenly around the hole and put in a little fine soil to which has been added a small amount of bonemeal. Fill in a further 5cm of ordinary soil over the roots and tread in firmly.
It is vital that roses are planted firmly, to ensure that winds will not damage or disrupt the roots. Apply a balanced fertiliser every 3-4 weeks in the spring/summer and it is also recommended that you apply a mulch in the winter for protection. Can be pruned back to remove any dead wood or growth.
