Runner Bean Painted Lady is an impressive heirloom variety, grown for hundreds of years by gardeners and academics. Provides a continuous amount of runner bean pods, each a medium length and dark green shade. These plants will even produce attractive bicoloured flowers in red and white colours. A must-have addition to any allotment!

Growing at a glance…
Start seeds on a warm windowsill in early spring. Pop a single seed 1 in deep per pot. Gradually acclimatise to the outdoors after all risk of frost has passed. Alternatively, you can plant seeds directly outside after the soil becomes warmer in late spring. Ensure plants have support to ramble by using canes or netting.
