Start the spring season off with a bang with our mixed selection of scorching Praestan tulips, which are sure to bring a blaze of colour to any pot or border. Colours range from the sweet tangerine of Shogun, to the rich orange-red of Yari and thebrilliant scarlet of Fusilier - with foliage ranging from spring green, to grey-green, to variegated. Even though there is so much variety in this mixture, these Praestans varieties complement each other perfectly and will create an attractive varieddisplay when planted in a clump. Each of their sturdy stems will produce up to four to six flower heads each. No tulip will multiply like the Praestan which naturalises year after year, making them one of the most popular tulips around (as well asexcellent value for money). Broad lance-shaped leaves provide a complementary backdrop for these bright and cheerful multi-headed tulips. Wonderfully carefree displays can be created by throwing the bulbs in the air over a patch of soil and plantingthem where they land for a natural display. This mixture is ideal for a tulip beginner gardener who doesn’t know where to start - or simply anyone who wants to celebrate the coming of spring with a fun and captivating tulip display.Don't forget that tulips like to be planted late in October and November with the colder weather (it helps wipe out disease, too.)
