Tulip Praestan Mixed
OUT OF STOCK
Start the spring season off with a bang with our mixed selection of scorching Praestan tulips, which are sure to bring a blaze of colour to any pot or border. Colours range from the sweet tangerine of Shogun, to the rich orange-red of Yari and the brilliant scarlet of Fusilier - with foliage ranging from spring green, to grey-green, to variegated. Even though there is so much variety in this mixture, these Praestans varieties complement each other perfectly and will create an attractive varied display when planted in a clump. Each of their sturdy stems will produce up to four to six flower heads each. No tulip will multiply like the Praestan which naturalises year after year, making them one of the most popular tulips around (as well as excellent value for money). Height 30cm. Flowers March to April. 10/11cm bulbs supplied.

Soil Type
Well drained garden soil |
Plant bulbs in well dug soil about 8-10cm deep and approx 15cm apart. It is often beneficial to use a little bonemeal or super phosphate mixed in with the soil. Tulips delight during their growth in a sunny location.
After the tulips have bloomed and when leaves fade and turn brown the bulbs can be lifted, dried, cleaned and stored in a cool place until planting time. Tulips should not be grown in the same soil for several years, so replace with fresh soil every other year.
