Named for the painter Rembrandt, these varieties are characterised by their flecks, flames and spots of colour, and look excellent planted en masse in a border or in patio containers. The bi-colour flowers will create an impressive display and provide you with many weeks of colour, as well as beautiful cut flowers for the vase. The collection includes 10 each of Sorbet (white with red flame), Pretty Princess (pink with deep pink markings), Helmar (yellow and red flamed), Hermitage (orange with deep mauve marking) and Zurel (white and purple). Height up to 55cm. Flowers April/May. 11/12cm bulbs supplied.

Growing at a glance…
Tulip bulbs should be planted in autumn, before any frost. Find an area of soil that is well-drained and moist and plant your bulbs at twice their depth and spaced apart by 10-15cm. Ensure they are properly covered, you should not be able to see them on the surface of the soil. Position in an area that you know receives plenty of sunlight but is also sheltered from harsh winds. Deadhead the flowers once they wilt, encouraging a healthier plant.
