Uncinia Rubra, otherwise known as Red Hook Sedge, is a brilliant and popular evergreen perennial grass originating from New Zealand. Rich maroon red foliage and darker mahogany flowers begin to bloom from June through to July. The compact nature of this hardy perennial makes it an ideal plant for adding texture and character to the front of borders, rockeries or containers, where they will reach an eventual height of just 30cm. 9cm pot grown plants supplied.

A fantastic grass that originates from woodland/mountain regions of New Zealand. It is best to make sure they receive some protection in the winter, such as planting in a sheltered spot or applying a mulch. Water freely during growth.Plant out as soon as possible. Protect from excessive winter wet. Ideal for containers and front of border displays.
