Japanese Anemone and Helenium

Here Jeff demonstrates how to grow Anemome and Helenium from young plants in this video.

All Anemome are an excellent choice for borders or rockeries, but can also be grown in pots or containers provided they are not given any heat. They are all perfectly hardy and ideal subjects for cut flowers. Anemone japonica is an invaluable late summer flowering perennial. A multitude of flowers are produced throughout the summer.

Helenium are a clump forming perennial with giant daisy like flowers with a central intricate ball or disc. These plants are very attractive to birds, butterflies and bees. They flower from June through to September making them perfect for a long lasting regular in your summer border.
