Product Description
A popular alternative to the traditional green variety, Ligustrum Ovalifolium Aureum, commonly known as the Golden Privet Shrub, is a popular hedging plant. This striking Japanese variety has striking green waxy leaves with a vivid lime-yellow edging; contrasting beautifully against pretty white flowers from July to August. A striking hedging alternative, it makes an ideal property boundary, although can also be used to add some cheerful colour to garden borders. An easy to maintain and fast-growing variety, it will reach a mature height of 2.5m. A firm favourite with the British gardener, we recommend pruning to a manageable shape and size dependant on garden. Holder of the prestigious RHS Award of Garden Merit, this wonderful variety is also a useful addition to contribute towards a wildlife garden, as it provides excellent cover for small birds and hedgehogs with the small flowers during the summer months attracting butterflies and bees. A fantastic all-rounder, 25-40cm loose plants supplied.
