Product Description
Valentine' is a stunning variety of Dicentra that produces beautiful red and white flowers on arching burgundy stems that reach a mature height of 50-60cm. Flowering from April to June, they are a fantastic choice for brightening up the garden border, they can also be planted in patio containers for those with less space or bring these unique flowers into the home as part of a cut-flower display. A great naturalising non-invasive clump forming perennial, we recommend planting in well-drained, fertile soil in partially shaded areas of the garden, although they will also tolerate full sun. Growing at a glance…
Slugs may cause some damage to dicentra plants if you dont take some precautions (such as slug pellets). Plant in any fertile and well drained garden soil and position them in full sun or partial shade. To plant loose roots, soak them in a bucket of water for 1-3 hours before planting, then dig a hole in the border that’s big enough to house the root system. Firm in gently and water well.
