Try something new in your garden this year and grwo your own fruit with this wonderful Jostaberry. New for 2017 it is a cross between a blackcurrant and gooseberry. Each vigorous growing shrub produces dark reddish-black fruit just larger in size than a blackcurrant. Early Jostanerry fruit is not unlike that of a gooseberry and tastes like a sweet blackcurrant when fully ripe in late July. Height 1.8-2m. 9cm pot plants supplied.

Growing at a glance…
Water well during dry and hot periods. In the first year prune shoots back to around half to an outward facing bud in winter. After this in following years only prune old and damaged branches.Plant in well prepared soil and add some organic matter to the ground. Apply a winter mulch to protect from heavy frosts.
