Tulip Esperanto is a fantastic neat little tulip. Its china-rose petals and creamy white tips create an exciting and entrancing display throughout the spring. Reaching a height of 30cm, its thick spears of variegated foliage are strikingly marked white at the edges. A celebrated addition to any garden and holder of a RHS Award of Garden Merit. Viridiflora Tulips are known for their impressive long flowering capability and as a relation to the single late class tend to flower throughout April and May.

Growing at a glance…
Tulip bulbs should be planted in autumn, before any frost. Find an area of soil that is well-drained and moist and plant your bulbs at twice their depth and spaced apart by 10-15cm. Ensure they are properly covered, you should not be able to see them on the surface of the soil. Position in an area that you know receives plenty of sunlight but is also sheltered from harsh winds. Deadhead the flowers once they wilt, encouraging a healthier plant.
