Soil Type
Rich, well drained soil |
Anemones should be planted at least 3-5cm deep and no less than 10cm apart. It is highly recommended that you soak the bulbs in water for one day prior to planting. While they do not object to partial shade, they thrive best when planted in an area with plenty of access to sun. The richer the soil, the more flowers each bulb will produce. They are an excellent choice for borders or rockeries, but can also be grown in pots or containers provided they are not given any heat.
Hardly any flower can compare with the endless variety of shades produced by these flowers. Care should be given to ensure that there is good drainage as these corms are very sensitive to dampness. They are a fantastic choice as they will naturalise and multiply quickly over the years. All anemones are perfectly hardy and are ideal subjects for cut flowers, borders and rockery displays.
