No cottage garden is complete without dicentra (more commonly known as bleeding heart) – it’s a gorgeous perennial with elegant, arching stems and heart-shaped flowers. Perfect for borders and flowering throughout spring and early summer, you’ll find classic reds, pinks, purples here – as well as yellow and white varieties too.

RHS award-winner Dicentra ‘Spectabilis’ is a beautiful plant displaying heart-shaped, hot pink and white flowers that arch above feathery fern-like foliage.
